Our latest recruit! Get to know, Amy.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re firmly bouncing back from that dreaded pandemic that we’ve all been through over the past couple of years. As our new business discussions are ramping up & new contracts are being signed, we needed to find a superstar Frontend Developer who can help us get to our next level of growth. Enter, Amy!
Get to know Amy, our latest recruit, a little through the following handful of ice breaker questions and join us in giving her a warm welcome to Team Adapt.
Who is your hero?
This is a hard question! I think someone who inspires me to always strive for success is my brother, sounds cliche I know! The reason behind this is that he had 2 heart surgeries at the age of 16 and then got diagnosed with crohn’s disease and had to have more surgeries! Still, he has always got back up after each blow and carried on to build a life for himself and for that I am super proud, we’re really close!
What is your biggest fear?
In everyday life, I am terrified of rats and always have been, they just creep me out! I also have a really bad fear of flying which is fun when you have to take 9hr flights to see family! Looking at the bigger picture, I am scared of failure but I am learning that in order to succeed you sometimes have to fail!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would have to be steak cooked by my boyfriend because he knows how to get the seasoning just right! Although pizza is not far behind.
How would your friends describe you?
I’ve always been the friend that listens and gives out advice so I would like to think they would describe me as a good listener and a compassionate person. I’ve been told that I always look for the good in people and try to help wherever I can.
If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be?
I would have to say Emilia Clarke, Chris Evans, Tom Holland and Clinton Kane.
What are you most excited about with your new role at Adapt?
I think that I am looking forward to not only growing as a developer but growing into the team and the company as a whole. I am excited to see what new opportunities and challenges I am going to face as well as what I can do in order to help the team and Adapt grow!
